from Serco is a powerful management information system (MIS) that drives processes to bring about educational transformation. More than a million children in thousands of schools all over the world are already managed and educated through the Facility system.
What is ePortal?
Facility centres on a single database that provides attendance, behaviour, assessment, progress and personal data about each child in a simple-to-understand format through the web interface ePortal.
All stakeholders can have their own, secure log-in through ePortal so they can reach information tailored to their needs at any time from any web-enabled computer. Parents have access to their children’s data, teachers to each class, year heads to sections of the school, heads and managers can reach summaries and overviews or drill down to specifics.
How does Alfie Integrate?
Alfie will retrieve user data from ePortal to enable report generation that matches learner data contained therein. Alfie will also use the same username and password as used for ePortal.
In the next release of eProtal scheduled for early 2009, Alfie will extend the dynamic interchange of data between the two systems to enable storage of learner data within the MIS and therefore periodic data analysis & departmental analysis will be possible.
